Sarah Ayinde is on the run after allegedly setting her husband, Abidemi Ayinde, a special constable with the Ogun State Police Command, on fire during a domestic dispute in Iperu, Ogun State.
The incident occurred on December 12, 2024, at their residence on Igboore Street. According to sources, the altercation escalated, prompting Sarah to allegedly set her husband ablaze.
Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident, stating that the victim was rushed to Bolawatife Hospital, where he is receiving treatment and is in stable condition.
“The suspect fled the scene immediately after the act. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend her, and investigations are underway,” Odutola said.
The police have urged the public to provide any information that could assist in locating the suspect.
