President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has inaugurated the 2024 Christian pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan, urging participants to use the journey for spiritual renewal and fostering national unity.

Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, Tinubu emphasized the pilgrimage’s theme, “Pilgrimage of Renewed Hope for Total Restoration,” as reflective of his administration’s vision.

“This pilgrimage should deepen your faith and inspire contributions to the progress of Nigeria, Lagos State, and your families,” Tinubu stated.

He also cautioned pilgrims against absconding, reminding them, “There is no better place than home.”

The event’s details were shared by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations of the Christian Pilgrimage Commission, through a statement on the commission’s official X account on Monday.
