Babcock University, Ilisan Remo, has matriculated 3,258 new students, with Vice-Chancellor Professor Ademola Tayo urging them to pursue academic excellence and uphold integrity.
Addressing the students during the ceremony, he emphasized the importance of shunning negative behaviors such as bullying, sexual harassment, and examination malpractice, warning that offenders would face expulsion.
“You are the reason for the establishment of Babcock University: to provide you with purpose and guide you toward a meaningful life,” Professor Tayo stated.
He assured students of the university’s supportive environment, designed to nurture their mental, physical, and spiritual growth.
Professor Tayo highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering well-rounded intellectuals capable of critical analysis and societal contribution.
He encouraged students to set personal goals, leverage the university’s interdisciplinary approach, and resist societal pressures.
Also speaking at the event, Mr. Hakeem Abdulhammed, JAMB State Coordinator, commended Babcock University for adhering to JAMB’s Central Admission Processing System.
He urged the students to remain disciplined, focus on their studies, and honor their parents’ sacrifices.
The ceremony underscored Babcock University’s dedication to producing graduates equipped for impactful contributions to society.
