Tinubu Hails Lookman, Nnadozie, Super Falcons on CAF Awards

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman for winning the 2024 CAF Men’s African Footballer of the Year Award, Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie for being named Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, and the Super Falcons for clinching the Women’s National Team of the Year Award.
The awards were announced on Monday at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.
President Tinubu described the honorees as worthy ambassadors who have showcased Nigeria’s talent and brought honor to the nation.
He expressed confidence that the recognition would inspire upcoming athletes to pursue their dreams with dedication.
“These athletes embody the Nigerian Spirit, showcasing our resilience and excellence. Let no one write us off. I am incredibly proud of them,” Tinubu stated.
He commended their determination, discipline, and confidence, aligning them with his administration’s vision of nurturing and rewarding talent.
“Thank you for making Nigeria proud and keeping our flag flying. You will win even more in the future,” the President added.
