Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), has finalized its investment decision for the Bonga North deep-water project, a subsea tie-back to the Shell-operated Bonga Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO), facility.
The project includes 16 wells (8 production and 8 water injection), FPSO upgrades, and new subsea hardware installation.
Shell holds a 55% stake in the facility, which is expected to deliver over 300 million barrels of oil equivalent, peaking at 110,000 barrels daily by the end of the decade.
Zoë Yujnovich, Shell’s Integrated Gas and Upstream Director, emphasized the project’s role in sustaining upstream production and enhancing cash flow into the next decade.
