Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has hailed President Bola Tinubu’s bold reforms, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast despite economic challenges.
Speaking at the 14th convocation of Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, Dogara described Tinubu as a leader unafraid of tackling tough issues.
He praised the President’s local government and tax reforms, calling the former a “masterstroke” for empowering local councils and reducing state-level interference.
“With Tinubu’s steps to free local governments from economic stagnation and his bold tax reforms before the National Assembly, I see hope,” Dogara said.
He added that abandoning the reforms due to temporary hardship would be “cowardice.”
While Tinubu’s tax proposals have drawn mixed reactions, Dogara’s comments reflect growing support for the President’s agenda aimed at long-term national development.
