The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), has warned counterfeiters against flooding Nigeria with fake drugs and substandard products.
At the 8th ANHEJ Conference in Abuja, NAFDAC highlighted strengthened collaborations with China and India for pre-shipment testing, ensuring only quality products enter Nigeria.
The agency reported intercepting 144 batches of substandard pharmaceuticals and credited rigorous inspections and public complaints for curbing harmful goods.
Nigerians were urged to report counterfeit products and support local manufacturing to reduce reliance on imports.
NAFDAC remains committed to safeguarding public health and market integrity.
