Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has urged President Bola Tinubu to dismiss ministers who ignore Senate summons, calling their actions disrespectful and unacceptable.
Speaking during Friday’s plenary, Kalu criticized ministers and contractors who disregard parliamentary invitations, emphasizing that such behavior cannot continue.
He called for stricter measures to hold officials accountable, including a performance evaluation system for ministers and heads of parastatals.
Kalu also condemned contractors like Julius Berger for similar disrespect towards the Senate, asserting that parliament must uphold its authority.
