The federal government has unveiled plans to create “Renewed Hope Creative Villages” in every Nigerian state, aimed at boosting the creative industry and generating employment.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stated that the Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy will partner with state governments to transform historic sites into hubs showcasing Nigeria’s cultural heritage.
These villages will serve as one-stop centers for arts and culture, harnessing the economic potential of the creative sector.
The initiative is projected to create thousands of jobs and foster economic growth, while also prioritizing the development of historic sites to enhance Nigeria’s global cultural reputation.
