On December 12, 2024, the Federal Ministry of Education suspended a college teacher over allegations of inappropriate video communication with a former female student.
The decision follows the circulation of a video showing the educator in an immoral exchange.
Ministry spokesperson Boriowo Folasade condemned the teacher’s actions as “totally unacceptable” and confirmed that investigations and disciplinary actions are underway.
The teacher has been referred to authorities for potential prosecution and is banned from school premises during the investigation.
Folasade emphasized the ministry’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment for students and urged parents and guardians to report any relevant information to authorities.
