Shettima Chairs NEC Meeting, focuses on State Police

Vice President Kashim Shettima chaired a National Economic Council (NEC), meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, focusing on the establishment of State Police and other national issues.

Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa briefed journalists, revealing that 33 states have submitted their positions on State Police, while Adamawa, Kebbi, Kwara, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), are yet to respond.

NEC has directed the remaining states and the FCT to submit their positions within a week, with a consolidated report to be reviewed at the next meeting.
