The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Command has arrested seven suspects linked to a notorious “one chance” robbery gang and recovered 13 tinted vehicles tied to their operations.

Commissioner of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu disclosed this during a press briefing on December 12, 2024.

The syndicate, allegedly coordinated by a fugitive named Friday Ogwuche, targeted victims along high-traffic routes between Mararaba in Nasarawa State and the FCT.

The arrested suspects include Godwin Abba (Benue), Abraham Anthony (Kaduna), Moses Obi (Cross River), Stephen Moses, Jude Simon, and Terfa Akaaer (all from Benue).

Recovered items include three Point of Sale (POS) machines, five laptops, 109 memory cards, three mobile phones, $203 in cash, and tools such as a blindfold and pliers.

CP Disu called for community vigilance, urging residents to report suspicious activities to enhance public safety, especially during the festive season.

The suspects will face charges after investigations conclude.
