The family of Imtiyas, a Senior Secondary School 2 (SS2), student of Beautiful Beginning Academy, Abuja, has called for justice after he was allegedly brutalized by SS3 students in the school’s boarding facility.
Reports indicate that the perpetrators chained Imtiyas and recorded the harrowing incident, which left him severely traumatized.
The abuse came to light when a sibling visiting the school discovered him in a frail state. He was immediately taken home and hospitalized.
According to the family, this is not the first time Imtiyas has faced bullying in the school, but they described this latest episode as particularly cruel.
They also alleged that the school administration has failed to act against the attackers.
The family is urging authorities to investigate the matter and hold those responsible accountable.
They stressed the need for urgent measures to curb bullying in schools, declaring, “Imtiyas is not just their victim—he is our son, our brother, and a member of our community.”
The incident has sparked public outrage, with many calling for stricter anti-bullying policies in educational institutions to protect vulnerable students.
