Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Senior Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, has refuted allegations linking him to real estate fraud and money laundering, describing the claims as baseless and misleading.
On Tuesday, reports emerged alleging that Pastor Idowu had been detained by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja for alleged involvement in fraudulent real estate dealings.
It was further claimed that his release was secured through the intervention of prominent Christian leaders.
Speaking during the church’s Next Level Prayers session on Wednesday, Pastor Idowu categorically denied the allegations.
“I do not have any property in Nigeria. The only property I have is one that was inherited. I’m not involved in real estate dealings,” he clarified.
Addressing claims that billions of naira had been funneled into his accounts, the pastor responded, “It’s been alleged that I received billions. My accounts are public. Anyone can verify if such sums have ever been deposited. These are baseless rumors spreading misinformation.”
Pastor Idowu expressed shock at the allegations, noting that he first learned about them through the media.
“As you’re reading about these things, I’m reading them too,” he remarked, underscoring his disbelief.
He urged his congregation and the public to disregard the accusations, reaffirming his commitment to honesty, transparency, and his pastoral duties.
