The Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has announced a strategic partnership with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to organize the 2025 Nigeria International Air Show.
The collaboration was formalized during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, at his office in Abuja.
Air Marshal Abubakar revealed that while the NAF had initially planned its own air show, it opted to join forces with the Ministry after learning of its similar initiative.
He emphasized that the combined resources and expertise of both organizations would greatly enhance the event’s profile and global appeal.
Minister Keyamo lauded the Air Chief for the collaborative approach, calling it a visionary step to highlight Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace potential on the global stage.
He stressed, “This partnership underscores the importance of synergy in achieving our common goals and ensuring the success of this landmark event.”
To oversee planning and execution, an eight-member joint committee has been formed, with representatives from both the Ministry and the Nigerian Air Force.
This committee will handle logistics, foster international partnerships, and engage key stakeholders to ensure the event’s success.
The 2025 Nigeria International Air Show is expected to attract global aviation and aerospace leaders, including manufacturers, investors, regulators, and enthusiasts.
It will provide a platform for Nigeria to showcase its advancements and investment opportunities in the sector.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in strengthening Nigeria’s position within the global aviation and aerospace industry.
