Dr. Mohammed Goronyo, Minister of State for Works, has emphasized the crucial role of geospatial data in enhancing Nigeria’s security and socio-economic development.
During a visit to the Office of the Surveyor-General of the Federation in Abuja, he stressed the need for robust data infrastructure to support national growth.
Goronyo stated, “Accurate data is essential for achieving our national objectives.”
He acknowledged the office’s century-long service but noted its outdated equipment, which lags behind technological advancements.
The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to using accurate data to boost security, technology, agriculture, and other key sectors.
