Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to collaborating with security agencies to maintain peace and safety in the state.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Audi, at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan on Thursday, Makinde commended the Corps for its pivotal role in fortifying the state’s security framework.

As a demonstration of his administration’s support, the governor handed over two brand-new patrol vehicles to the NSCDC, underscoring their importance in safeguarding lives and properties.

Makinde lauded the NSCDC’s efforts in combating security challenges and highlighted its critical responsibility in protecting Nigeria’s oil assets, which are vital to the nation’s economic stability.

He assured continued partnership and provision of necessary resources to further enhance their operations.

“The NSCDC has been instrumental in making Oyo one of the safest states in the country despite widespread national security concerns,” Makinde stated, while acknowledging the dedication of the Oyo State Commandant, a member of the State Security Council.

Commandant-General Audi, in his response, expressed gratitude for the governor’s support and the donation of the vehicles.

He pledged that the NSCDC would remain steadfast in its commitment to ensuring peace and order across Oyo State.

Makinde’s administration continues to prioritize security through strategic partnerships, reinforcing its determination to protect residents and sustain economic growth.
