The information was also shared by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Social Media, Abdullberqy Usman Ebbo.
The proposed budget allocates ₦188.42 billion (15.68%) to recurrent expenditure, while a significant ₦1.01 trillion (84.34%) is earmarked for capital projects, underscoring the government’s focus on infrastructure and economic growth.
Governor Mohammed Umar Bago attributed the ambitious budget to the pressing need to bridge infrastructure deficits, meet critical development goals, and address the impacts of rising inflation.
The council has directed Commissioner Ndajiwo to present the proposal to the Niger State House of Assembly for legislative approval, signaling the next step in achieving the administration’s developmental objectives.
