Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has earned widespread praise for delivering on his promise to implement a new N71,000 minimum wage for workers, a move expected to have a transformative impact on the state’s economy.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) hailed the wage increase as a milestone achievement, underscoring its potential to uplift the living standards of Kano’s workforce.

In a statement, Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his commitment to worker welfare, saying, “I am committed to ensuring that our workforce is well-compensated for their hard work.
“This wage increase reflects our dedication to fostering an environment of fairness and productivity,” he said.
