Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke marked his second year in office with a bold reaffirmation of his administration’s debt-free policy, highlighting that all projects and programs under his leadership have been executed without borrowing.
Speaking during the anniversary celebrations on Wednesday, Adeleke credited the success of his administration to blocking financial leakages, prioritizing local content, and maintaining cost-effective yet high-quality standards.
“For all our projects and programmes, we did not obtain any loan,” he stated. “We only blocked leakages, employed local content, and enforced high standards.”
In a gesture of continuity and fairness, the governor noted that his administration treated inherited projects and contractors from his predecessor equitably.
“We never discriminated on inherited projects, and we never sacked any contractors engaged by our predecessor,” he said, emphasizing his commitment to transparent governance.
Adeleke also reflected on his achievements guided by a five-point agenda focused on addressing the key needs of Osun residents, including infrastructure development and social programs.
Looking ahead, he assured the people of Osun that all ongoing projects would be completed.
