In a major stride towards sustainable transportation, the Renewed Hope Clean Energy Scheme will hand over eco-friendly buses to three key transport unions; the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), and the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO).
The historic ceremony, slated for Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Eagle Square, Abuja, marks a decisive move to reduce Nigeria’s carbon emissions and promote cleaner energy in the transportation sector.
This initiative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, aims to replace fossil fuel dependency with green alternatives, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change.
Key government officials, transportation leaders, and environmental advocates are expected to attend the event, which signals a bold step in reshaping Nigeria’s transport landscape for a more sustainable future.
