To enhance public safety, the FCT Police Command has declared war on ‘one chance’ robbers and car thieves in Abuja.

Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh announced a major crackdown, including increased patrols, stop-and-search operations, and enhanced surveillance across the city.

The operation targets criminals posing as commercial drivers to rob unsuspecting passengers, as well as the rising issue of car theft.

Vehicles with illegal or defaced plates will be impounded, and regulations on tinted windows and covered number plates will be strictly enforced.

Several stolen vehicles have already been recovered, and multiple ‘one chance’ robbers arrested.

SP Adeh reassured the public that while the initiative may cause some inconvenience, it is essential to protect residents and curb criminal activities.

The ongoing effort highlights the FCT Police’s commitment to making Abuja a safer place for all.
