Olujonwo Obasanjo, son of Nigeria’s Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has publicly expressed remorse over his strained relationship with his estranged wife, Mrs. Temitope Adebutu Obasanjo, pleading for her forgiveness and reconciliation.
In an emotional statement on Monday, Olujonwo reflected on their embattled marriage, acknowledging the painful moments and irreconcilable differences that led to their separation and divorce proceedings.
He attributed his plea to deep self-reflection and the interventions of trusted individuals who reminded him of the love and bond they once shared.
“With a heart full of reflection and hope, I have come to realize that our relationship is worth another chance,” he said, expressing regret for the hurt caused by his actions and those of his mother.
Olujonwo passionately apologized to Temitope and her family, including her late mother, for the pain inflicted knowingly and unknowingly.
He described their union as a partnership filled with joy, dreams, and moments too precious to let go.
“I recognize the role I played in our challenges and fully accept my responsibility to rebuild the trust and love we once had. I am ready to face this journey with sincerity, humility, and unwavering dedication,” he added.
His heartfelt appeal concluded with a plea for forgiveness and a renewed commitment to their marriage, saying, “To Temitope, I offer my most sincere apologies. Let us move forward with love, understanding, and a renewed sense of purpose. With all my heart, and so help me God.”
The statement underscores Olujonwo’s hope for healing and restoration, emphasizing the power of faith and determination to rebuild their relationship.
