Access Bank Denies Allegations of Missing N500 Million

The Access Bank has strongly refuted claims of N500 million allegedly missing from a customer’s account, describing the accusations as baseless and false.

In a statement released on Sunday, the bank reaffirmed its dedication to ethical banking practices and the protection of customer funds.

The allegations, which surfaced in a viral video posted by social media influencer Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, accused the bank of misconduct related to the account of a deceased customer.

Responding to the claims, the Access Bank stated: “Our attention has been drawn to a viral video alleging missing funds and unethical behavior.

“We want to categorically state that no N500 million or any other amount is missing from the customer’s account or any other account. These claims are false and unfounded,” the bank said.

The bank disclosed that independent investigations conducted by industry stakeholders corroborated its stance, confirming no irregularities or missing funds.

Reiterating its commitment to transparency, customer privacy, and ethical standards, Access Bank urged the public to disregard unverified and sensational allegations.

The bank further assured customers of its ongoing commitment to safeguarding their financial assets and maintaining trust in its operations.
