The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, to ₦970 per litre.
This adjustment, effective immediately, represents a ₦20 drop from the previous price of ₦990 per litre set earlier in November.
In a statement released on Sunday, Anthony Chiejina, Chief Branding and Communications Officer of the Dangote Group, described the move as a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians for their unwavering support.
The statement also acknowledged the Federal Government’s contributions to fostering domestic production, which is integral to the refinery’s operations.
“This is to thank the government for their support as this will complement the measures put in place to encourage domestic enterprise for our collective well-being,” Chiejina stated.
The refinery, located in Lekki, Lagos, is ramping up production to meet local fuel demands while ensuring high-quality, environmentally friendly, and sustainable products.
The price reduction, which benefits oil marketers, is expected to enhance affordability and accessibility in the fuel market, alleviating concerns about supply shortages.
As the largest single-train refinery in the world, the Dangote Refinery remains committed to redefining Nigeria’s energy landscape and strengthening its economy through innovation and strategic interventions.
