Shettima Reaffirms FG’s Commitment to Youth Empowerment

Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the federal government’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, positioning young Nigerians as the driving force behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s development agenda and Africa’s integration efforts.

Speaking at the 2024 Youth Legacy Conference in Abuja, Shettima, represented by Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, emphasized the critical role of youth in shaping Nigeria’s present and future.

“The youth are not just leaders of tomorrow; they are the anchors of today,” he said, adding that President Tinubu is dedicated to ensuring they actively shape the nation’s destiny.

Under the theme “Shaping Africa’s Future with AfCFTA and Agenda 2063,” the Vice President highlighted how initiatives like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and Agenda 2063 create vast opportunities for youth to innovate, connect, and lead the continent into an era of prosperity.

Shettima also praised programs like the Mandela Washington Fellowship for equipping young leaders to excel in education, healthcare, and social justice, inspiring a brighter future for Nigeria and Africa.
