The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, has pledged strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s Tax Reform Bills, aimed at overhauling Nigeria’s tax system.
The bills—covering tax administration, revenue services, and a joint revenue board seek to simplify taxation, ease burdens on taxpayers, and enhance government revenue. The PGF vowed to work closely with the National Assembly to drive these reforms forward.
Describing the initiative as critical to Nigeria’s economic growth, the Forum highlighted its potential to reduce poverty and improve the business environment, signaling a major step towards sustainable development.
