Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has presented a proposed budget of N465.85 billion for the 2025 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly for review and approval.
The budget, dubbed the “Budget of Consolidation and Sustainable Development,” is designed to address socio-economic challenges and promote long-term growth within the state.
Governor Mohammed outlined that N182.74 billion, representing 39.3% of the budget, will be allocated to recurrent expenditure, while N282.34 billion (60.7%) will be dedicated to capital projects.
The proposed budget includes key allocations such as N69.94 billion for the administrative sector, N219.5 billion for the economic sector, N9.54 billion for law and justice, and N166.1 billion for the social sector.
The Governor emphasized that the budget focuses on sustaining development initiatives and addressing the pressing needs of the people of Bauchi State.
