The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has suspended its National Executive Committee (NEC) Chairman, Mamman Mike Osuman, over an unauthorized statement made during an NEC meeting on Wednesday.
Osuman reportedly claimed that the North would support a northern candidate for the presidency in 2027, a remark made without prior consultation with other ACF leaders.
In a statement issued shortly after the meeting, the ACF distanced itself from Osuman’s comments, describing them as his personal opinions and not the official position of the Forum.
The leadership immediately suspended Osuman and announced the formation of a committee to investigate the matter further.
