The Federal Capital Territory College of Education, Zuba, has finalized plans for its third combined convocation ceremony, during which more than 1,000 graduates will be awarded the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).
Speaking at a pre-convocation press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, the Provost of the college, Sule Mundi, revealed that the ceremony would recognize graduates from 28 academic programmes spanning five consecutive sets. The institution’s last convocation was held in February 2020.
In addition to awarding certificates, Mr. Mundi announced that 11 outstanding students, along with distinguished personalities, would be honored during the event.
The provost also highlighted ongoing challenges, particularly insecurity at the college’s permanent site. To address these concerns, the management has implemented safety measures, including the construction of a perimeter fence, a security gatehouse, and the deployment of security personnel to safeguard lives and property on campus.
The upcoming convocation is expected to mark a significant milestone in the college’s history, celebrating academic achievements while addressing critical infrastructure and security issues.
