Aiyedatiwa Wins Ondo Gubernatorial Election, Pledges Inclusive Leadership

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has secured a second term in office, following his victory in the 2024 gubernatorial election.

Addressing the state after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), declared the results, Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the renewed mandate, vowing to prioritize the welfare of citizens and foster economic growth.

“I am humbled by this trust and pledge to justify it through inclusive governance where every citizen has a voice,” he said, calling for collaboration across party lines to build a prosperous Ondo State.

The Governor commended INEC for conducting a credible election and acknowledged the security agencies for ensuring peace.

He also extended appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC), leadership, and his campaign team for their unwavering support.

President Tinubu congratulated Aiyedatiwa on his victory, hailing the peaceful conduct of the polls as a testament to Nigeria’s maturing democracy.

He encouraged aggrieved candidates to seek redress through legal channels.

Governor Aiyedatiwa dedicated his victory to God and the late Former Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, promising to honor his legacy by advancing Ondo’s development.

With the elections over, Aiyedatiwa urged all stakeholders to unite for the state’s progress.
