In a diplomatic event, President Bola Tinubu will host Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Sunday.

Prime Minister Modi is expected to arrive on today, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Nigeria since Dr. Manmohan Singh’s 2007 state visit, which established a strategic partnership between the two nations.

The high-level bilateral discussions will aim to deepen ties between Nigeria and India, focusing on key areas of mutual interest.

Both leaders are set to exchange signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) to foster collaboration in critical sectors, underscoring a shared commitment to strengthening their relationship.

This visit is seen as a pivotal moment in advancing the partnership between Africa’s largest economy and one of Asia’s major powers.
