Former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ), led a condolence visit to the family of Chief Sir Rex Onyeabo in Abuja to honour the late Dame Felicia Onyeabor, a Former PDP Secretary and respected community leader.

The visit was part of an entourage that included Former Executive Secretary of Nigeria’s Pilgrims Commission, John Kennedy Opara.

Speaking during the visit, Kennedy Opara expressed their mission: “We are here to pay our condolences and pray with you.”

Families, friends, and well-wishers gathered to commemorate the matriarch’s impactful life and express gratitude for Jonathan’s presence, despite his tight schedule and travels from Warri.

Paying tribute, Dr. Padi Njoku highlighted the deceased’s legacy: “When we live honorably, even in death, respect follows. For the Former President to travel here shows the kind of life she lived.”

Another sympathizer, Sir Osita Anameze, added, “It is only through your legacy that you’re remembered, and Dame Felicia left a remarkable one.”

A Former President, Catholic Women Organization (CWO), in West Africa and a retired federal civil servant, Dame Felicia’s legacy of service and leadership was celebrated by her peers and community members who gathered to bid her farewell.

Prayers were offered, and her contributions to both her family and society were lauded, cementing her reputation as a woman of dignity and values.
