In a statement by the Police Spokesman, Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu, the Police provided details of the incident, saying the explosion, which occurred earlier that day, was heard by police officers at the Jibia Divisional Police Headquarters.
The loud blast prompted the Divisional Police Officer to immediately lead a response team, collaborating with military personnel to assess the situation.
“Upon arrival, the team discovered a truck carrying gas cylinders engulfed in flames at the Tamal Filling Station, located along Kagadama-Magamar Jibia Road.
“The joint team acted quickly to implement safety measures, preventing further harm and minimizing damage to property. The fire was eventually brought under control,” Sadiq-Aliyu said.
