The South-South Initiative for Better Nigeria (SSIBN) has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his recent appointments in the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), viewing the move as a strong step toward enhancing the nation’s oil and gas sector.
In a statement signed by SSIBN’s National Coordinator Jack Akpvwoghene and Programs Manager Ebitare Wellington, the group highlighted the appointments as proof of Tinubu’s commitment to elevating the company’s efficiency and boosting Nigeria’s competitiveness on the global stage.
“These significant appointments reflect an unwavering dedication to bringing the Nigerian oil and gas sector to international standards,” the statement said.
Among the newly appointed leaders are Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi as Executive Vice President, Downstream; Mr. Udobong Ntia as Executive Vice President, Upstream; and Mr. Adedapo A. Segun as Chief Financial Officer. SSIBN expressed optimism about these appointments, hoping they will bring forward impactful policies that further uplift the industry.
