Oprah Winfrey has refuted claims that she was paid $1 million to endorse Kamala Harris, the Democratic vice-presidential candidate in the recent U.S. presidential election.

The Washington Examiner had alleged that Winfrey’s company, Harpo Productions, received funds for hosting a celebrity town hall in support of Harris in September.

In response, Winfrey strongly dismissed the report, clarifying that she had never accepted payment for her support or involvement in Harris’s campaign.

“Not true. I was paid nothing, ever,” Winfrey told TMZ, directly addressing the rumors.

However, Oprah declined to comment on the election results, which saw Republican candidate Donald Trump declared President-elect.
