In a move to bolster public engagement and media outreach, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has appointed a seasoned media expert Mr. Olalere James Olayinka as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA), on Public Communication and New Media.The appointment, announced today, takes immediate effect.
Mr. Olayinka, a respected figure in Nigerian journalism with over two decades of experience, will now lead the development of communication strategies aimed at enhancing public awareness of FCT Administration initiatives.
Known for his strategic insight and vast expertise, Olayinka’s background spans notable roles, including CEO of Our Peoples FM, Ado-Ekiti, Publisher of Wazobia Reporters Online, and former Special Assistant on Public Communications to the Ekiti State Governor.
Olayinka, a graduate of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos, hails from Okemesi, Ekiti State.
As Senior Special Assistant, he is tasked with fostering stronger public engagement and promoting transparent communication for the FCT Administration.
The announcement underscores the FCT Minister’s commitment to improving communication and public relations within the capital territory.
