A shocking incident in Lagos’s Pinnock Estate has left residents in horror as three fierce dogs fatally attacked an estate security guard, whose identity remains undisclosed.
The gruesome event, captured in a video shared on social media, showed the guard’s lifeless body with the dogs circling nearby.
According to reports, the dogs were inadvertently released by their owner, Salisu Mustapha, allowing them to roam freely and leading to the deadly attack early Tuesday morning.
Authorities swiftly arrested Mustapha and confiscated the animals.
Lagos State Police PRO confirmed on X that the dogs are “receiving the best treatment” and stressed that “cruelty to animals” is not tolerated.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Ishola, has assured the public that thorough investigations are underway to ensure justice is served.
