Liverpool manager Arne Slot has reaffirmed that Mohamed Salah has no intention of leaving Anfield in the near future, dismissing recent speculation sparked by comments from the Egyptian forward on social media.
Slot clarified that some of Salah’s remarks have been misinterpreted by the media, emphasizing that the star forward remains committed to Liverpool.
“If his comments suggested anything, I would have discussed it with him — but I haven’t, as our focus has been on Leverkusen, who deserve our full attention due to their quality,” Slot explained.
He added, “Salah’s contract ends at the season’s close, and after a recent comment from Virgil [van Dijk], followed by Salah’s post, interpretations have emerged. This speculation will likely continue until their futures are certain, but for now, we are focused on their performances, as seen in their outstanding displays this past weekend.”
