Former Director-General of Peter Obi’s 2023 Presidential Campaign, Doyin Okupe has warned that the South West will no longer tolerate disrespect toward President Bola Tinubu.
Appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Okupe stressed that Tinubu holds a special place in the hearts of the South West and should not be spoken of with disdain.
“From now on, we are no longer going to keep quiet for people who think they can just insult Bola Tinubu,” Okupe declared, saying that “Tinubu from the South West is the apple of our eyes. He is not doing wrong. If things are not looking well now, they’ll look well because we know him.”
Despite the economic challenges many Nigerians are currently facing due to Tinubu’s policies, Okupe maintains that these circumstances are not grounds for public criticism of the president.
