In line with his ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’, the President, Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in seven newly appointed ministers.
During the swearing ceremony which took place at the Council Chamber, Aso Rock Villa, on Monday, November 4, 2024, Tinubu emphasized the importance of this new Ministers in advancing his administration’s goals and expressed confidence in their ability to serve Nigeria with dedication.
The newly appointed Ministers are, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammed Maigari Dingyadi as Minster of Labour and Employment, Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu Ojukwu as Minister of State Foreign Affairs, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as the Minster of Industry, Trade and Investment, Idi Mukhtar Maiha as the Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Suwaiba Ahmed as Minister of State, Education.
It would be recalled that, during Bianca’s screening she drew significant attention on the Senate floor. Her presence sparked a lively reaction, leading the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio to interject, reminding his fellow Legislators to focus on Ojukwu’s qualifications rather than her appearance.
However, it is worthy to note that the nominees underwent thorough screening, which concluded with their confirmation on Friday, November 2, 2024.
The newly sworn Ministers have now officially assumed their roles as key contributors to the cabinet’s ongoing efforts toward national development.
