Former APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Timi Frank, has accused President Bola Tinubu of orchestrating a plan to remove Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara from office, following a Federal High Court ruling to withhold the state’s monthly allocation.
In a statement, Frank described the ruling as “a script written by the President” to pressure Fubara into joining the APC, claiming Tinubu believes Fubara’s support would hinder his chances in Rivers State in the 2027 elections.
Frank stated, “The President is angry that Fubara disrespected him by refusing to join the APC,” adding that security agencies are allegedly being used to pressure the governor.
Warning of consequences, Frank said, “Rivers’ people and the Niger Delta will resist any illegal action aimed at destabilising the state or intimidating Fubara.”
He urged Governor Fubara to stand firm, assuring him of the people’s full support in defending Rivers’ sovereignty.
