Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, through her Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), has launched a major food outreach program in Ekiti State to ease the economic strain on Nigeria’s vulnerable groups.
The initiative, held at Osuntokun Pavilion, Government House, provided staples like rice, beans, and garri to widows, persons with disabilities, and underserved families across the state.
Represented by Vice President’s wife, Hajiya Nana Shetima, Mrs. Tinubu emphasized that the outreach is more than charity—it’s a commitment to lasting support for Nigeria’s most disadvantaged communities.
“Empowerment and food security are pillars of our agenda,” she declared, underscoring her alignment with President Tinubu’s mission to uplift Nigerians.
Speaking at the event, the RHI State Coordinator, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, praised the First Lady’s dedication, affirming that the initiative would bring “hope and relief” to struggling families.
The outreach, which aims to expand nationwide, signals a strengthened focus on health, education, and economic empowerment, echoing the government’s drive to combat poverty at its roots.
