The All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara to stop blaming President Bola Tinubu, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and the judiciary for the recent court ruling halting allocations to Rivers State.
Speaking at a press conferences in Abuja, APC’s Rivers State Chairman, Tony Okocha, accused Fubara of attempting to save his political career through blackmail, stating, “Wike brought Fubara from obscurity to political prominence.” He argued that Fubara’s political troubles stem from his own actions, adding, “The crisis in Rivers is between Sim Fubara and himself.”
Okocha stressed that the APC stands by the court’s ruling and urged Fubara to respect the legal process, especially regarding state budget laws. He also defended Wike, emphasizing that he is not involved in the court cases, and questioned why Fubara is implicating both the President and the Minister.
