25 Million Nigerians Receive ₦25,000 Conditional Cash Transfer – FG

The Federal Government has announced that 25 million Nigerians have benefited from its ₦25,000 conditional cash transfer program.

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, disclosed this after the National Economic Council (NEC), meeting chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima in Abuja.

Addressing the government’s measures to ease the impact of fuel subsidy removal, Edun noted that five million households had received direct cash transfers.

Additionally, he reported that over the last five days, about 11,000 beneficiaries received ¥3.5 billion under a consumer credit scheme.

Edun also highlighted that more than ₦90 billion has been disbursed to around 500,000 Nigerian students through the government’s student loan initiative.
