In a strategic push to elevate infrastructure in Abuja’s satellite towns, the FCT Minister, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has inaugurated the upgrading of key roads, including the War College/Army Checkpoint route in Bwari Area Council.
This initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to enhancing rural living standards.
Addressing the crowd, Wike urged residents to support development efforts by paying ground rent and other taxes, vital for funding infrastructure projects.
He noted that under Tinubu’s administration, empowering indigenous contractors like Abdulval LTD, which leads this project, remains a priority.
Additional projects, such as the recently approved 9.5km Kabusa/Ketti and 11km Kabusa/Takushara roads, underscore the administration’s wide-reaching infrastructure agenda.
Wike further highlighted the FCT’s agreement with CGC for potable water provision in Kwali, Gwagwalada, and Kuje Area Councils.
“This is a renewed hope agenda in action,” Wike affirmed, promising comprehensive development across the capital territory by 2027.
