Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is well-rested and fully prepared to continue his leadership duties after returning from his annual leave. Speaking at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Saturday, Gbajabiamila emphasized that Nigerians should expect significant progress in the coming days as the President resumes his role.
Gbajabiamila, who was part of the top officials who welcomed Tinubu back, stated, “The kind of work he’s been doing in the last year and a half requires some rest. He’s back now well-rested and rejuvenated. Even during his leave, it was a working holiday. He was still attending to important matters while resting. Now that he’s back in Nigeria, all hands are back on deck, and he’s ready to continue his mission.”
Addressing concerns raised about Tinubu’s absence, Gbajabiamila noted that the President had taken a well-deserved break after months of intense leadership responsibilities. He assured Nigerians that Tinubu’s return signals a continuation of his administration’s policies and efforts to move the nation forward. “He’s the captain of the plane, and he’s ensuring Nigeria reaches a cruising altitude where we can see sustainable development. In no time, Nigerians will start to witness the tangible results of his hard work.”
When asked about what Nigerians should expect in the weeks ahead, Gbajabiamila responded, “President Tinubu is focused on driving policies that will set the country on the right path. He is committed to making sure that things are done correctly and efficiently. His administration is keen on delivering the promises made to Nigerians. There is hope and optimism in the air, and we are confident that better days are ahead.”
Tinubu’s brief absence had stirred concern among some Nigerians, particularly as it coincided with Vice President Kashim Shettima’s two-day working visit to Sweden. Gbajabiamila dispelled any concerns, reiterating that the President’s team remained fully operational during his leave and that governance continued seamlessly.
The Chief of Staff urged Nigerians to remain patient and hopeful, assuring them that Tinubu’s administration is on track to deliver positive changes across various sectors, including the economy, infrastructure, and social development. “There’s a lot to look forward to in the months ahead. The President is back, and he’s ready to roll up his sleeves and continue the good work,” Gbajabiamila added.
