Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to partnering with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to ensure the safety and security of residents. During a courtesy visit by Air Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal Kolade Ademuwagun, Makinde expressed gratitude for NAF’s support in maintaining peace and security in the state.
The governor acknowledged the pivotal role NAF plays in safeguarding Oyo State, citing their tireless efforts to protect citizens. He also thanked NAF for deploying three aviation experts to assist in upgrading Ladoke Akintola Airport to an international airport, demonstrating the state’s dedication to development.
Makinde emphasized the importance of a secure environment for progress, pledging to collaborate closely with military agencies. He looked forward to establishing a functional Air Force Base in Ajia, noting that compensation had been provided to displaced communities.
