The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched its governorship campaign in Ondo State, ahead of the November 16 election. Led by acting national chairman Ambassador Illiya Damagun, the National Working Committee members and party leaders, including governors, arrived in Akure on Tuesday.
The party’s candidate, Agboola Ajayi, aims to connect with voters and amplify the party’s message, leveraging his leadership experience, economic vision and grassroots support.
PDP expressed confidence in Ajayi’s candidacy, stating, “His leadership experience, economic vision and grassroots support make a compelling case for his candidacy and our success.”
Notably, Bauchi State governor Bala Mohammed, chair of the PDP Governors Forum, reaffirmed Damagun’s status as acting national chairman before departing for Ondo State.
