Air Peace has issued a statement addressing reports of fraud charges filed by the U.S. Department of Justice against its Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema, and Chief of Finance/Administration, Ejiro Eghagha.

The airline clarified that the legal matter, now before the court, stems from earlier accusations of financial misconduct dating back several years. While acknowledging that the charges have been expanded, the company emphasized that they remain allegations until proven otherwise.

“Our legal team is fully engaged with the matter and is working tirelessly to ensure that justice prevails,” the airline said. “We remain confident that, through due process, the truth will be revealed and our CEO and co-defendant will be exonerated.”

The statement also noted that Onyema and his legal team have cooperated with authorities throughout the process. Air Peace reassured the public that its operations remain unaffected by the legal proceedings.

“We want to reassure the public that these legal proceedings will not impact the safety, reliability or day-to-day operations of Air Peace,” the airline said. It further stressed that the company remains committed to providing effective services without disruption.
